December Announcements

Aaargh! Late again. What's my excuse this time? You'd never believe me if I told you. Well, you probably would actually - but enough of that. To business!

The Next Two Moots

We need you to bring your brain to the Moot on Tuesday 12th January, because we'll be playing some Psychic Games. We haven't decided exactly what they'll all be yet, so please feel free to think of one or two of your own. And just so we all know, giggling is good for telepathy!

Bridget will be taking over on Tuesday 12th February, with a talk (and maybe a bit more) about the festival of Purim and the Book of Esther. "But they're Jewish!", I hear you cry. Wanna bet?

The rest of our Moot dates are free now. So if you want to do one or request something, now is the time to ask. In fact, please ask - or we've got think stuff up ourselves!

Coming Up

We've suddenly found a stack of stuff going on in December and January. I'm not going to put a lot of links and things up this time. If you're interested, ask - and all shall be revealed (actresses and bishops are springing to mind for some reason!)

Friday 11th Dec - A Horned God Ritual in Borsdane Woods (I know that's today. Sorry!)

Saturday 12th Dec - A pot-luck Yule supper bring-along at Mel and Nick's house.

Friday 18th Dec - A Solstice ritual at Sentry Circle near Allerton.

Sunday 20th Dec - Yule open rituals by Shared Earth in Preston, and Pan Tavern in Chorley.

Saturday 16th Jan - We'll be Wassailing our apple trees. Please come along with a hat and apple-based produce

Friday 22nd Jan - (Assuming I've got the date right) A trip to Ara to celebrate your host's second 22nd birthday, slightly early. It's also Spikey's birthday the day before, so cards at the ready!

Monday 25th Jan - Clarian Faeries in Westhoughton are starting their own moot. You'll be able to say "I was there. . ."

Saturday 6th Feb - The Marsden ImBolg Fire Festival. More on that closer to the time.

News

Finally a little news
The bad news first: The Bolton Moot will be closed for January and February. Our lovely hostess, Michelle Screechowl is going into hospital for a rather serious operation very soon and is going to be out of action for quite some time. All being well the Moot will re-open in March, but until then we can send nice thoughts her way as often as possible.

The good news: Well, it's not good that he's gone away, but it's good for him. The lovely Jonny (ex of New Aeon Books) has managed to wangle himself a job at the British Library and consequently has just moved to London. Congratulations!

And that'll do for now. Have a wondrous Yule, stay warm (unlike my hands at the moment) and we'll see y'all in January.

Love and hot drinks,
Seán
